does anyone else's adventure leak?

my 07 leaks in wind waves for sure, i think it is taking water through the front hatch, rear hatch and through the rudder line entry points.

Yeah, mine does that too. I'm pretty sure most of it enters the cable ports. I know I get a lot of water through the center hatch every time I open it.
So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains, where the spirits go...........

Strong Work Kayote!!!!!

Yup, I'm gonna have to follow his lead.  One thing I like about it is that he could further tether it down by putting the fins under the bungees holding down the front hatch.  Picture 6 really shows what I'm talking about.

I've had mine in very rough conditions with water coming over the bow and it only takes on very minimal water.
Everybody dies, not everybody lives. What did you do today?

I have only had water leak in mine when I had really rough surf launches and landings. 10-20 waves over the deck. Truth be told all kayaks will leak through hatches. Most companies won't seal their hatches but only bolt them down. If you want to make you yak fully water proof pull all your hatches and put a good bead of Goop down and then bolt 'em down again. Then on the bow hatch add a second bungee across it. If it leaks after that you've got other problems. :smt002

Dave,

I just ran the loop on the leash through the gap near the side of the cable pully wheel. It has worked great for years.
