This would be so cool on kayak being towed by a squid, any of these guys mothership
Ive got a plan to do it by yak, non mothership. Just waiting for the WX to cooperate with my shedule. PM me for details.
If youre one of the unlucky chosen to dredge on of these off the bottom in 1000 fow to get the rest to come up, ziptie a GREEN glowstick, tied up in a condom to your jig...............................
This works at BURNINGMAN as well... oh, wait, did you say jig?!
:smt044 :smt044 :smt044 :smt044 Ben I actually did this!!! you remember La Contessa, the Spanish Gallion i helped build. Well I took a beater rod out to the event and tied on a glowstick, stood aft on the poop deck and casted to groups of ravers. The object was not to let them catch the glowstick, but watch them scurry after the shiny object that had just fallen outta the night sky. Worked like a charm! I always thought we were sooooo much more intelligent than fish but after this event i began to wonder..
BTW La Contessa was built around a bus and was full mobile.

That's a lot of freakin squid. How do you cook them? I hear they are really tough - as in rubber.
That report was from the Miss Anita (a six-pack charter) and Capt. Vince Orsini.  Vince was my original (high school) fishin buddy!  I sent him an email a few months back, with pics of Alan Tani's boat, suggesting he consider going mothership. Didn't hear back.  If you go out with him say hello from Kirk @ York
