For the NWKA AOTY I must have gone well over 5000 miles. I made some big trips to OR for rockfish and salmon this year. The NW doesn't have a lot of kayak fishermen yet so sometimes it was a full on solo zen mission. Like Freddie I'm a trucker/sucker for these fish and while most roadtrips don't equal my dream fish each trip was it's own journey. And when it all does come together... oh man!

Mooch

I don't even want to think about it.  Nor the amount of money it's cost me.  But I estimate that I am doing at least a tank of gas every fishing trip and I have over 30 days on the water so far for the year.  I think it would be interesting to have the club tally the amount of money spent on fishing, maybe at specific donators.  Might help with donations etc.

Or exact expenses directly pertinent to fishing to present to the FGC during the process. I imagine that all totaled together it will be quite a sum. Just for NCKA

And to think politicians are trying to take it all away from us. :smt013   The money we pump into the economy making all of these trips.

Sorry, not trying to threadjack!

These data might make the greenie weenies come out and bash by saying "carbon footprint this", "car exhaust that", kinda comments.  I'm not sure I want these data published to be honest. Damn interesting stuff though, for sure.
