A couple quick questions . When mounting transducer does it go in front of mirage drive or behind it ? And which way is the transducer supposed to face ?

I would mount it in front of the drive for minimal water turbulance/bubbles behind the fins.  You should give this a try befor mounting it:

I placed my transducer right behind the sail mast, in front of the drive system.  Works great

run the transducer cord out the upper rear drain plug hole and drill a mounting hole in  for the transducer in the rudder, very quick, very easy, very reversible if you dont like, works very good too
