I'm really burning to fish & w/ group is appealing. Haven't even been to Ft. Ross yet! It's at the top of my to do list. Anyhow, just my gut tells me folks should review the wx mid Friday in case the aforementioned cold front comes sooner than predicted. This El Nino stuff is wierd as hell, and changes a lot. There's wind, then there isn't. I can't say much for the swell tho.

Not to kick a dead horse, but here's what Weather Underground says:

Forecast as of 8:56 PM PDT on October 21, 2009
Synopsis For Northern California Waters
A building west swell will move into the waters overnight with 14 to 16 ft swell heights at 16 second periods expected by Thu morning. The swell will decay slightly Thursday night into Friday. A weakening cold front will move across the waters Friday. North winds will increase Friday and Saturday in the wake of the front.
Small Craft Advisory for hazardous seas in effect from 3 am PDT Thursday through Friday morning

Go to the north bay for stripers and sturgeon. Delta for bass. Clearlake for bass. Lake Pardee for Salmon, trout and bass.
