Hello all.

I will be down in Monterey on November 4th and 5th to visit a project site and therefore have to fish Stillwater after hearing all those good reports while I was having a father/daughter bonding moment.

So I will be down at Stillwater somewhere around 7am Wednesday morning almost ready to fish. If someone could tell me where I can grab a box of squid around 6:30 near there it would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on the wind and swell, Thursday morning I will be at stillwater or just south of Joe's point at a pullout as it's easier access to some good structure I found on a map.

My cell is 916-847-2415 and my e-mail is rlawrence@dokkenengineering. I'll be working out of the Monterey Bay Beach Resort Wednesday night and will have access to e-mail.

Tight lines!

Hey,
I might meet you there for wednesday and/or thursday depending on the swell and the weather looks good already, so the swell is the main concern. There is a Safeway a couple of miles further down on the left past the exit for stillwater, they will have squid there. My number is 831-588-5251, feel free to call me tuesday night to confirm arrival times and details.  Mike

I'm gonna try for Thursday...and that will be it for awhile until these storms move thru.
Then...when the seas calm down the season will be nearly over.
Thursday or pack it in for awhile.

I know where it is, , where to unload, and where to park, but at one time (yrs ago) you had to check in with the beach and tennis club, is that still needed or do you just park and go?

Park & go.
Wish I could be out there right now. I bet its spooky calm-before-the-storm action.

In the last 24 hr the forecasts have had the swells staying down but the offshore winds being significantly higher than previuosly forcast making for some sloppy water nearshore, been ab divng for years and it seems this happens allot in Nov.  been out in Nov on some 3-4 ft days that'd make you wish you'd stayed home.

I was out in that washing machine for three hours and still feel quezy.......

There was at leas a 1' shore break. So much for Stillwater.

I'm down here in Monterey but if the wind is blowing tomorrow morning when I get up I'm just calling it a season and getting on the list of things I want to fix before next year. If no wind, I might hit San Carlos beach. Going to be a morning call.

Oh, did I mention that I got a flat this morning on Highway 101 around 5:30am driving down. A big thanks to Fred for pulling in behind me when he saw the yak on the roof. I owe you a beer!!!

Tight lines and flat seas!
