I started out to fish Stampede today, but the road was closed near the dam?? Sooo...8 miles back to Boca. It's still dark out and since the reservoir water is sooo low, I tried to get a little closer to the shore to launch. I got out of my truck 2 times to see if the ground was hard enough and I went a little too far :smt013 and got stuck in the mud. I tried like hell to dig the truck out with my paddle, and about 10 buckets of gravel, but nothing worked. End result.....$300 for a tow truck to pull me 10ft!!!

Since I had to wait for the tow truck, it was a good time to set up my rig for fishing. As soon as I got on the water the fishing was on! No size, but another 30+ fishday with one double hookup. The little guy's were jumping all day, and some jumped over 2ft. out of the water right next to me. All top water action, used a humdinger tipped with a worm. and I used a gold cast master with a treble, but I switched after keeping a few bleeders. It was a nice day out (except for playing in the mud), and the wind didn't pickup until 2:30pm.

Thanks for the report! Haven't been to Boca w/my yak yet but I really want to.
I got stuck at Boca a couple Octobers ago. Over by the inlet on that big flat area. Fortunately, there were other guys around who pulled us out. Ended up catching all our fish by the dam anyways...nice browns.
