Bad taste sure, but it was funny!

My son Nathan and I fish together a lot.  One day he hails on the radio, "hey dad" and just about every man in a kayak or boat started looking around.  Told him that didnt work so he decided to call me Sumo.  (it fits)

a year later he says we should have better radio names.  I ask what he has in mind.  He smiles and says, "how bout Fat Man and Little Boy."  Took my old gears a bit but I finally remembered those were the names of the two atomic bombs dropped on Japan in WW2. (Im Japanese, and my parents were on the receiving end of US bombs so I do get it)

Kind of wagged my finger at him, cant glorify nukes... but that was clever!

we can't bash nukes, what a wonderful invention. imagine the ability to have a device to kill thousands of innocent people. we should let all our nations have them, Iran, north Korea. I'm sure they would use this wonderful knowledge for the better of their country and its people

Your son has a good sense of humor and irony. It seems obvious where he gets that from. Irony is often lost on Americans .....
