Guerneville/Monte Rio heads up

One evening I was pulled over by the CHP out by Stafford Lake for the tail light. The cop wanted to do a safety check on the rig and I could see the violations piling up. When he got to "honk the horn" I stuck my head out the window and yelled "GET OUT OF THE WAY IDIOT". He looked at me, started laughing and told me to get out of here.

That was probably, by definition, special treatment but it was a long time ago too.

I sold the truck "as is" that week.

MetalHead everytime i read this it cracks me up  "Get out of the way idiot"...

All I am geting at is I love lake Co, and hate the sterotypes. Their are lots of good places to fish and people to fish with ( we are not all drug users) s I am sorry I took it personal  and let youre coments get the best of me.

  No doubt Lake county and especially clear lake are awesome!  It only takes a few idiots to make it bad for everybody else.  No reflection on you and no doubt that sterotypes are not helpful.  Please accept my apology if I offended you.   

I talked to the local CHP about a month ago.  He said there is now only 1 CHP officer (him) in all of West County from Gualala down to Bodega and east to Sebastopol.  He said he spends most of his time on either 116 between Guerneville and the coast or on 1 between Jenner and Bodega.

I'm going to have to take this statement back.  I ran into a different CHP on the western outskirts of Guerneville yesterday so there is obviously more than one.  We pulled over to ask him where the closest clinic/hospital was (I had a little burn incident involving the propane water heater.  I'm ok, but that's a different story).  He had no clue, and could hardly take his eyes off his radar gun to answer our questions.  Huh what ?!?  He didn't know where the closest medical help was and didn't do anything to help out an obviously hurt person?  WTF?

Man, Sorry to hear that. I hope you are o.k.  Sebastopol is probably your best bet in that situation (too late now, I know). The locals around here are a bit more hospitable I'd hope to think.

I am fine, just a few burns on my arm and face.  The thermocouple on the gas line failed and didn't shut the gas off when the pilot went out.  I went to relight the pilot and kaboom.  We did end up at Palm Drive Hospital in Sebastopol  after stopping at the fire department in Guerneville.  The FD were very nice in checking me out and suggesting I go to Palm Drive.  Even offered to take me in the ambulance, but I politely declined.

And yes, the locals in West County are very hospitable.  We have a cabin here so spend a fair amount of time in the area.  The cabin has a new water heater now!!!

  WOW Allen, that could have been a lot worse!  I hope your burns are not bad and aren't causing you too much pain.  Also, I hope they are not in areas that will affect your modeling career?
