Hello folks,,
In your experiences,
For big guys ie 275 lbs and 6 ' tall is a Cobra marauder a good option like the Malibu X factor?
Mickfish and Abking both paddle the big stuff. What do you guys and others think?

The Marauder XF has issues w/cracks. Some details on this site. And they supposedly changed/fixed the problem. But I'd still think the Marauder is a little small for you. I haven't paddled a new one (not even sure if they're available to public yet) but the old model had narrow footwells IMO. I guess I should just let the guys who own Marauders to reply.

Steve, I'm 5'10" and 150 (160 last week) pounds. I feel comfortable in the Marauder. If you're looking to use it for a diving platform, Pacifico (and I think agarcia used to own one) uses it for such a purpose. So you might want to ask him. I don't remember whether Fishshim does too.

I have a brand new Marauder, (a replacment for mine that cracked).  The hull has been slightly redesigned in the area that the cracks appeared, not sure how that will work out, that area looks much better but it also still looks like a stress point, but Cobra does stand behind their warranties.

As for the foot wells, they redesigned that area a little so that they would accept foot braces for a rudder system, I didn't get the rudder, so I also don't have the foot brace brackets, end result is that the foot wells are wider and more comfortable, my feet used to get lightly stuck in the wells when I wore tennis shoes (fat soles) dive boots didn't have a problem. Now I have plenty of room, don't know how it would work with the brackets in place though. The area is cramped because of the center hatch which is a nice one, wider than a Rod Pod for sure.

My first Marauder had the flushmount rod holders up about eve with my feet and it was a great place to stick your rod while dealing with fish or a gear change. This footwell redesign also made the deck outboard of that area too narrow for flushmount rod holders, but it does look like there's enough room to install some flush rod holder mounts (scotty mounts, ram mounts).  That's next on my list.
