That reminds me of my first legal ling . I caught a 24 and hicthhiking on him was a 36 . Cant beat that got a limit on one drop .

So if I catch my limit of ling and the deckhand pulls out another legal ling on the way in do I get a fine from the warden at the dock???  :smt119

Yes, you would be fined, treated as a common criminal, banished from fishing for one year, did I mention fined, publically humiliated, your kids will hate you, your dog will urinate on your shoes. and then it would get bad from there.

Oh yeah, unless you are a chp officer, or dfg employee. Then we would all have a good laugh and be on our way.

But I'm not bitter.

When I was in Shelter Cove a month+ ago, I got to see a 35+- inch lingcod carcass pulled from the belly of a 100+lb PacButt! It was all white and slimy like the one in that vid...but about a foot longer! Who'd a thought....using 35" lings for bait Ha!
