hit up montrey with some family n freinds , they rented from MBK and we tried fishing , no fish finder so i didnt really know where i was dropping (reefs piling) so the majority of our time was spent drifting halis , did hook up a nice rockie that went home with me

also figured ot the whole thing with catching live bait , actualy had alot of fun catching sardines and mackeral on my ultra light gear , brought home some mackerel for the freezer for my next shark slayings

anyways not an exciting report , just me putting time on the water getting used to my new yak , figurin things out and moving forward to more exciting reports! haha

It's fun to catch live baits on light tackles.  Glad you had good time OTW with a rental.  Thank you for the report Andy.

when i fish the bay for sharks, BIG leopard sharks always seem to endup on the mackeral heads, they like bullheads and gobies also.  squid catches everything though...
