Biggest Fish on lightest line?

  A customer came in here yesterday with a fish story. I told him I don't believe him without a picture, and he said they're coming. This last weekend at some Bear something res. in the Sierras. 16 plus lbs. makinaw on 6lb test line. It took over an hour. He said there was a small trout on his lure that was too light to trip the downrigger and it was still in the big fish's throat. He wanted to let it go, but he couldn't revive it.
