Took a newbie down to stillwater cove for his maiden voyage out in the ocean. On the water by 7:30 and off by 12. Stayed inside pretty much the whole time for a steady pic of blacks and one nice vermillion. And then as first timer luck would have it my buddy sticks a 31.5 inch lingcod!!!!!! He got alittle see sick but enjoyed himself for the most part and can't wait to go again.
WISHIN I WAS FISHIN!!!

That's a nice color Ling he caught there!  The water looks so calm.  Thanks for the report and picture.

glad to see you guys are able to go out in the south.
The wind up here in the north won't allow us to drop lures. :smt012
Nice first timer. :smt003

Great job getting your rookie mate on a ling and ready to go out again despite seasickness.   :smt001

Lucky guy. It took me a whole year to finally catch my first ling and that includes
a lot of hurling along the way. :smt003
