We camped at Plaskett creek which is about 7 miles south of Lucia. It is a lot of stairs and wouldn't be worth doing for one day but we usually stay for at least three days and leave the boats on the beach at night. This way we get three days of fun before we need to haul the gear back up to the car and it makes it worthwile. Still it is not a trip for the faint of heart.

For day trips there are plenty of other launches nearby such as Mill creek or Willow creek.

Looked like a great time on the coast. Looks like you sampled all it had to offer. Wish that weather held one more day. The next day I was blown off the water....
