Thanks for the nice words, Guys.   :smt008

Rolling that little boat down the beach with just a couple rods, dry bag, PFD, paddle, tackle, bait, water, seat and a few misc. items is sooooooo easy.  I had all my wetsuit gear in a big backpack just to make the boat a piece of cake to haul.  I left my weightbelt in the truck because I didn't feel like too much mud diving, and that makes a big 25 pound difference for my back.  I did bob like a cork though...

Dom took home one other ab - an 8" or so that some Okie Dip$hit A-hole discarded on his way up the beach.  It was all cut up and there was no way it would've lived.  Okie F$*&head had pulled more than his limit and was high-grading like it was just part of the program...  POS!   :smt011

Ghost flames would be kewl.   :smt003

The furbag in the photo was toast and we saw another larger adult that was nearly dead and all covered in sores and cuts.  We walked up on at least 3 or 4 babies that had dragged out and up the wave slope onto the warm sand and were just laying there snoozing.  It's obvious why it would be so easy to club one of those critters - they just sit there like you're Mama coming with milk or something...

Last, we all better watch out for this new guy, Keo - his enthusiasm and energy are off the charts!  If you want an ab I'm sure you'll get one.  WTG, Jai Boi!   :smt056

More proof, full blown success is not needed to make a great post, looks like a good time.

I have one of those hot rods (Costco special), I think they were off the market for awhile but I saw a brand new one at West Marine this week, $289, it's the first yak I ever dove out of, not a bad little boat at 30 something pounds :smt001.

Eric,

Thanks again for the post and pics.

I scored two of those bad-ass little boats at $300+tax for the boat, a decent paddle, and a great seat!  I still use the seats as my primaries, years and years later, and the paddles are great backups or loaners.  I've never gotten such value, but that was at the begining of the craze...  The Madness, as it were.   :smt002

I hate pinipeds as much as the next angler, but there has been a lot of word of malnoursihed pups and yearlings washing up and wandering on land etc.  Make you wonder that if they are starving, there must not be much for them to eat, and that is not good for any of us!   Great pictures, thanks for sharing your story.
