With the rod pod not cut out do you have to scoot all the up to the forward hatch to stuff the rods in the hull on a launch/landing in the surf?

If the surf is really big I would remove reels and put them in a dry bag and strap the leashed rods horizontally to the rails. So far, I've been able to land with rods vertical in the seat holders.I keep a pump and flotation in the bow hatch for emergencies, but can only think of a few scenarios when I would have to scoot forward and open the bow hatch.

Aaron your T13 is coming along vary nicely, clean is good. How do you like the tube type rod holders.

Pat R

I have been using one of the tubes for my gaff and love the placement. It's right where I need it and out of my paddle arch.
The second tube is great for soaking bait when hali fishing, though I haven't done much of that so far this season. The second tube has been neglected as I always hold and fish one rod for ling.I was even thinking of switching one of the tubes for a GPS mount when only fishing one rod.
