I launched the beach between Pt. Joe and China Rock in Pebble beach at about noon today.  The wind was <10 K with 1-2 foot swell and <1 foot wind waves.  Usually this beach is facing directly into the NW swell and launching is not possible.  I had stopped by Coral St. and saw Calbear and friend about to launch but I needed lunch first and then could not resist the excellent conditions s I headed to this usually forbidden launch.

Two photos one from the water looking in and the other my catch.  Back on the beach about 2:30 with a nice olive a vermillion and a 29-inch ling.  I dragged the beach a few times in hope for a butt.  I saw some bait but could not find a sabiki on board so I called it and headed in to buy some ice.

The Ling Slayer is the only rod I used today with a white twin tail on a 3 oz head.

Impressive catch! WTG Sackyak, nice meeting you, by the way. I think you scored that haul in record time. Nice fishing. I caught some blues, gophers, and one nice 3 lb. olive using Fuzzy Toms crankbait trolling technique. Hope to see you on the water soon :smt004
