I'm dropping my wife off at the OAP fairly early Wed, and picking here up Fri evening. Is anyone fishing near there either of those two days? I haven't been getting nearly enough time on the water.

Ben, I'm hoping to get out Wed but lately I have to play it by ear right up to the last minute. Also check out Ariel's thread:  http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php/topic,17341.0.html

That's no problem by me. I'm pretty solid, but there is a faint possibility that work will demand my attention as well. Worst case I'll just drag my kayak round trip w/o getting wet  :smt002.

I saw that, but can't make a 6:30 launch. And that's before considering a 10-14(??) mile paddle. I get around OK for an old fat guy :fat, but that distance on the bay seems a little daunting.  If things work out, we all might connect at the end?

Thanks

Ben

I'm going to try again for tomorrow. Since my wife's flight arrives late at OAP, I'm planning on launching around 9:30-10:00 at ARW and catch both sides of the mid-day low tide.

Do I have this right, the launch is a the end of the road that runs along the West side of the Encinal High School to Alameda Park? That's how it looks on google.

Hi Ben,
I'm going to hit ARW tomorrow morning. I'll try to catch me some shiners around 6:00am, then hit over to ARW. I'll be on an orange Trident13. It's the first time this baby touches salt water. Give me a howler on channel 69.

You're right about the location.
