It was great meeting some new people and fishing a new place. As Jeff pointed out, I did end up swimming in the Bay trying to put some fresh water in the small cooler to keep the shiners happy. I didn't need the fresh/salt water though  :smt003. I now know where my center of gravity is on the kayak. I always say you need to make mistakes to learn from them. I ended up donating a pole to the Bay and ruining a few electronics. I went from practicing self rescue last weekend to involuntarily entering the water this weekend.

I just want to say thanks to Ariel for a great day. You are a class act and Jeff and I really appreciated you bringing the live bait and showing us a great new place to fish. I would also like to thank you for lending a hand helping me get back in the yak. I see Jeff was too busy snapping pictures, rather than helping  :smt044!! What are cousins for.

I plan on being back there and staying in the kayak this time. I did hear a few snickers between Jeff and Ariel about there Tarpons being more stable than my Prowler. I guess it all depends on the operator. I will say the wetsuit and new safety gear kept me warm and comfortable. My wife asked if I panicked while she was laughing at me and I told her I feel pretty comfortable in the water but was a bit embarrassed and upset I lost my pole.

Thanks again,
Ray

Crap, crap, crap I wanted to be there so bad but I had my in laws over for the
weekend visiting. I'm glad you guys had an awesome day yesterday. It wasn't
like that for us on Friday, really windy and choppy.

Congrats Nate on the halibut.
Congrats Ariel on the striper.

Thanks for the report Jeff and for taking tons of pictures. That seal that was
following you was probably the same the followed me around all day Friday.

Ray, I am glad you didn't fall in the water in the worst condition out there. It
would have been harder to get back on with big swells and strong wind.
