Hi All
Will be taking a drive from Santa Cruz to San Jose (Fishermans Wharehouse) this coming week to shop for a new conventional saltwater setup (rod & reel).  Any other Stores I should check out in the area? I try to stick to my local shop (Anglers Choice), but do to a limited selection, ( Mark can and will do special orders) I will do some looking around. Thnaks

Check out Mel Cottons as well.

Here is a 20% off coupon that you can print off.

FW and MC are great choices for finding most anything you might want to buy.  FW much better selection of tackle for SW though.  I also like to go to Coyote Bait and Tackle, but its not that big of a store.  Just sometimes find different stuff there.

whatcha looking for. I hit up Hi's Tackle. I was looking for a Penn and they only had a few to choose from. They were heavy into accurate and shimano's. I ended up getting the Penn at FW

solid choice! I got two they are my go to set ups. FW has a good selection (if I recall) But if they have what you want that 20% from Mel's would be nice.

Definitely checkout Mel's while you're up there. Unfortunately, I don't have much advice on shops near San Jose...is Reed's still around? Yeah it's been a while since I been up that way haha.
I know Jim at J+D's Auto in Sand City had a big sale on rods recently. And the Tackle Box in Salinas had a good selection of saltwater rods+reels.

Boaters world on stevens creek rd. is going out of business. 30 to 50 percent of all the goods.
They are about 2 miles west of Mel's on the same road. They have some stuff their.
