Unfortunately, all the local coastal rivers close March 7.
Let me know if you want to hit the beach for perch/stripers or hit the rocks for cabs/rockfish around Monterey. I'm always looking for an excuse to go fishing! And March is primetime for ocean shore fishing.

Two good striper spots stick out in my mind #1- Salinas River mouth, near the old barge on the "long walk" (Salinas River wildlife refuge, end of Del Monte through the artichoke fields) #2- Pajarro River mouth(Zmudowski beach or Palm beach). Just keep in mind all local beach parking lots are like a den of thieves. Keep valuables with you.
