i've hoping and waiting for a steelhead seminar since last winter when mickfish said he was gonna have one. but then he never did. once again, i must say, my steelhead game is too lame to produce anything but shame. somebody should step up and make it happen.

Didn't know you 're a Poet Jack "I kissed a girl and I like it". Now that we have some water I am going to try it again but my January weekends are shot so it will have to be in Feb.(Dates??) Steelhead trips are near imposable to plan you pretty much have to be ready to go at a minutes notice, I'm lucky to live only 10 mins from the river. To support more than a few yaks you need flows of about 1,000' . Jack I do a lot of short trips (I only post yak trips) and you are on my way to the river PM me I'm leaving in a few and again tomorrow.

I have learned so much from this board so I do but it would make things easier if you guys that are serious get your boats set up and get out on the river and get some handling skills, I don't mind sharing fishing tips but my kayaking skills are lame.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

TRUE.  Steelheading is hard enough, you don't want to try and learn to river yak at the same time.

As Adam said we are Family and as you well know it never ends and as Jack hinted at they will never let live it down. :smt012

I thought that kind of guilt was reserved for Thanksgiving?

I'll post a hookup and if anyone shows, I'll share.
The river skills issue is a good point. Just ask Naoaki. :smt005
It seems a two part deal. You'll have to be able to go down a river, even mellow water is still moving water. Hydrodynamics cut no slack! And you'll also want to be able to fish in a manner that affords you some miniscule chance of angling success.
You can attend all the seminars you want, but experience, (and luck), is king!

If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.
