The Smith right now is a little over 100k cfs, and looks to go a little higher!
I wish I was there too see it. Big water!
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Wowza!  I knew it was going to be going gangbusters when I saw over the past three days that Gasquet had like 10"+ of rain, and add to that temps in the 50's with snow in low hills.  That's some major water!

Yeah, I've definitely never heard it used in that context before.  I know bouncing Betties as something else. :smt007

They are THE deal, particularly for rookies just learning the difference between tap-tap and t-tap. Beware of impostors like the dreaded "plunk and dunk"...the are NOT the deal.

This has me starting to understand why I never see you guys with a steelhead in your yaks.  Do we need a steelie seminar or a class or something??

I heard there was a guy up in Mendo County with a newly refurbished little pram who just volunteered to put together a steelie seminar... :smt003

Actually when the flows are up that high, I find a bowling ball works nicely... :smt005 If you present it just right, the fish will pull in behind for some current break, and your bait's right there in their nose. Can't miss....
