New Pentax Optio Announced

Well, I got an email this evening from CameraAddict...

This e-mail is being to sent to update you on the status of your order # 78646332. Your credit card had has not been charged due to the fact that the product you ordered is currently on back-order. When the product arrives we will e-mail you and then process your order.

You'd think that the LIVE human I spoke to this morning might have told me this...   In any case, they provided a link in the email to cancel the order because of the back-order, and I took advantage of it.  I think I'll just go through Adorama for the W60...it's not as cheap there, but I know it's a reputable online seller.

I just now canceled my order.  I was speaking with the order processing clerk who said, "I see that you FORGOT to order a battery with your unit."

I just told him to cancel my order and hung up on him.

You guys might want to consider calling your credit card company and either canceling your card and getting a new one issued or at least report this company so they can never charge against your card.  I have heard some really really bad stories about these NY camera companies!!!!  Real thieves!

If you want to test the validity of a company really fast, just call their 800 number and see how they answer the phone.  They will just say "hello".  Then ask them who you called and they will not tell you!  It's because they are answering for about a dozen or more fake online stores!!!!
