Nice report, sounds like a blast......wherever it was.

It's always more about the technique than the location, you can lead people to fish, but catching them is usually not a preordained outcome.....

Norm

Yeah, I learned that the hard way.........the last time I fished with you.

I will usually post location along with the report, but where I was fishing the other day just happens to be one of the few honey holes I have found, so nothing personal!  Do I get any redemption points for including the bait in the pic?!!  If anyone is new to the delta or isn't getting on the fish, I will gladly share some info that helped me get started.

I'm definitely a rookie yak fisher and have never fished the Delta but it looks like great fun.  Where's the best place to launch?

Found this thread in the "Places to launch and camp section":

Keeping good spots on the down low is a time honored fishing tradition.  No worries.

Yeah, same here Kevin, I was just yanking your chain bro.  I need to get over there one of these days, it's just that I can get to Clear Lake a little faster and I don't  have much experience fishing bass on a tide schedule, so I always end up on Clear Lake, Sonoma or Mendo when I need a fresh water fix instead of the Delta.  later....

Thanks for all of the responses.  I respect the privacy of everyone's favorite fishing holes and wouldn't ask for their location.  I wasn't aware of the link to launch sites and I'm sure it provides enough info to get the yak in the Delta to start finding my own fishing holes.  Thanks again for all of the replies.

It's all good guys, I knew you were just giving me a rib for keeping secrets.  I am working on a delta fishing post and should have it up soon.  It will be kind of a compilation of resources that should help people to find launches and tide info, reports, etc.
