My Sunday schedule unexpectedly cleared (yeeeHAW!) so I'd like to head out to the salt.  Considering the latest reports I'd like to try for my first halibut, somewhere between Santa Cruz and Monterey (I'm not picky).  Anyone planning on going out?

Barring a hali trip I'll opt for rockies.  I just need to hit the water, it's been too long...  :smt009

Dude

The surf looks good for the 25th, getting flat, all we need is for some fish to bite.
I haven't seen many reports from the stillwater area or out of moss landing but,
Bayside is reporting a few butts between the lighthouse ans mile buoy. Nothing exciting, a few caught yesterday, 50 ft. of water.
I just got my new bait tube built, would like to see how it works.
I'll probably go out of the harbor Sunday.

I'm game for anywhere, so check around and I'll hook up with you.

Stoggie

I would love to go Saturday, but for summer quarter I'm running the fitness center at De Anza from 8am-1pm on Saturdays.  :smt012  I'm splitting the assignment with another instructor, but unfortunately my free days won't be until August.  So I'm stuck with Sunday...good luck out there though!  :smt003

Stoggie, lemme decide what I'm doing and I'll post here.  I'm leaning toward MBK, but I may opt for the shorter drive to Capitola or SC.

Aw, dammit...

So, my mechanic called and said that the whine we'd hoped was a wheel bearing isn't.  They started working on the differential today, and the truck won't be ready until Monday.  So no Sunday fishing for me, not to mention the $660 repair bill (that's assuming the gears are okay, otherwise it'll be $860).  :smt010

Dammit.
