at a boat in camp.had a great time fishing everyday.lake was at 99% and still snow at the high elevations.caught mostly rainbows with a couple german browns.

Awesome spot!  Thanks so much for sharing your trip, and great first report, kooner2k.  That kind of spot is a wild one - hope it stays that way.   :smt001

Al, I hear ya!  Man those pictures are killing me!  I first got to see them thismorning while at my new office, with all the damn smoke in the air, I can't see my Santa Cruz Mtns! or the Calavares range for that matter!  Then I see these darn shots of pristine pines, clear (Probably freezing cold) water, damn fish, fire (Tim Allen grunt here)and a campsite.  Could you be any more cruel?
BTW, how did you get to the lake?   Did you have any nighttime critter visits?

Thanks for the therapy!

thanks for all the replys.this lake is north of fresno up hiway 41.it sits at about 3300' elev.one of the pics here is the san joaquin river feeding into the lake. you can walk up this river and probly do some great fishing.there is also some great creeks to fish.i also put another shot of the kayaks loaded at the start of the trip, each boat has 100 plus pounds of camping essentials aboard.one of the best things about this trip is the beer was ice cold till the very end.
