Anyone heading out into Monterey Bay on Friday? Trying to decide were to fish got the day off work and im itching to get back in the water.

With a forecast like this, San Carlos s/b a safe option.
.FRI...NW WINDS 5 TO 10 KT...BECOMING W 10 TO 15 KT IN THE AFTERNOON. WIND WAVES 2 TO 4 FT. NW SWELL 8 TO 11 FT AT 11 SECONDS.

Today was nasty on the Bay early with caps all over before 8AM.  For your sake I hope it settles before tomorrow.

You may consider trying for halibut in tight at Capitola or New Brighton. You can slow troll a flasher & sardine or fish trap or drift whole squid or cast a fish trap. Check out some of the last posted reports. It doesn't look like you would have to be too far out, typically 25' or less.
