Shim,
I see ALOT of bluegill on the hwy 20 edges of Blue lakes (the upper lake). Also a great place for both of you to get alot of standard issue largemouth using soft plastics. It was slow last time I was there but that was before this last stretch of warm weather. Being a "no wake" lake it might be perfect for Ty in his own boat.  Did he get a Kea?

Nate,
When you are here in August this will be one of the places Ill take you.

jprtroy,
this isnt at Rodmans but in the holy waters of the south end. Not accessible by PB, float tube, or mirage drive as you need to glide over and through submerged fallen trees and assorted cover where the bottom of the yak is rubbing regularly.

compa,
I like to stow the extra rod in the boat. Sometimes Ill just lay it down on the deck but it is just something else to manage and may get tangled up in the trees and reeds at the wrong time. like when you have THE fish. I have also experienced reeds lifting a rod right out of a holder when im moving through them to get back into these areas.
