Launched out of Santa Cruz at 6am. Tried several reefs towards Natural Bridges for a Halibut and to see if anything else would bite. Only one take on a fish trap which came off after a few seconds. Most likely a Ling. About 10 I thought I saw the largest Seal of my life. Turned out to be whale calf coming at me two feet under the water and 20 feet off the Starboard. I wondered where the Mother was I found out a few seconds later coming at me on the Port side. I thought I was going to get tossed and have a swim. Luckily they just glided past as if I wasn't there. After that I gave up on the fish and went to pull four pots which I had soaked since Friday. Six keeper Dungies, already consumed for dinner with friends.

Dude, you've got those dungies dialed in. You're doing better than most of the boaters!
Thanks for the report,
