I've been reading all the info on how to rig my first kayak. The First system I'm going to rig in is Duane's (kudos) QUICK RELEASE ANCHOR setup. Bought all the components for the trolley setup but I can't access the very rear of the stern section :smt012 to mount a cleat for the sheave.
In the tank well there is a cutout for a 6" hatch cover but that's not near enough to reach. Has anyone ever freehanded a "sano" access hole  at the top near the rudder section?
The only solution I can think of is ss pop rivets.
Any suggestions would be helpful. :smt100

Thanks, moose

1) compa
2) Anderson in Morgan Hill
3) fresh

compa just posted a maplink to the put-in here;

So after the seminar, those that will join me  for some fishing will have a real test of what they have learned!  :smt003

So I think the best place to do this is at Anderson. We'll be at the picnic area in the South end of the lake.

Just use pop-rivets. Not the SS ones you get at Home Depot, etc though. Those ones (from home depot) just squish into blobs at the end and can pull through the plastic. The good pop-rivets have legs that protrude when squished. And a rivet gun is only like 12 bucks, and really easy to use.
Good luck,
