Hey Naoaki,

I haven't done enough research yet (tides, currents, best times, tackle, etc..) but when I do there are a ton of different fish to choose from around here.  Sturgeon (White and Green but Green are closed), Salmon (spring and fall runs of Chinook and a fall run of Coho), Steelhead (both summer and winter runs), Walleye, and Smallmouth Bass).  My biggest problem right now is finding someone else to go out fishing with me.   I realize you're all manly with your recent solo sturgeon success, but I have WAF to deal with up here.

Wow-wow-weeee!!!  Congrats Naoaki!

I just discovered this post.  I passed it over because, from the title "late b-day gift", I was expecting chat about a new rod or reel.

Losing your kayak sturgeon virginity is a priceless gift.

That's like the AOTY river... :smt007  how about SW?

Yeah, you don't wanna Amy call the coast guard again... :smt009 that would put you 2x negative again... :smt044

For the record Amy has never actually called the Coast Guard.. though she does threaten.

As far as I can tell, Oregon salt water can be pretty good, but the ocean conditions make the Sonoma Coast look like a calm lake.  Ask me again at the end of the year when I have some of this figured out.
