The waves outside of Stillwater Cove, at Ghost Trees pushed 60 feet a couple days ago. Mother Nature is laying the smack down. Hopefully no fish are harmed…because this is essentially a State Marine Reserve and I'd hate to see the State take Ma Nature to court! Har har!
Its hard to imagine these monster waves when you're out there in flat clam water catching rockfish in board shorts and a t-shirt during the summer.

Holy mackrel!   I knew there was big surf, but that dwarfs big!  Didn't have a chance to check out Santa Cruz's surf, but I did see some aftermath of big surf on West Cliff Dr. (Seaweed on otherside of road at Westy & Woodrow Ave.)

I wonder how the cliffs along aptos to capitola handled this storm?

If we get a good low tide and some calm swell I would love to go fossil hunting along the cliffs.

These are from Saturday. Apparently two guys caught one wave each. Mucho respect for the ocean!
Enjoy,

I enjoy watching huge surf!  Especially if a huge wave happens to land on a vehicle, stopped at a stop sign, with it's window's open!  "Hummm I wonder what all these people,(about 30 or so) standing, behind the stop sign are waiting for?"
