Met up with Fuzzy Tom, Sackyak, Kayakito and a few others on a COLD morning.  I'll let the others describe their experience but as for me the day started slow.  Lots of small blues but not much of any size.  Tom, Sackyak and I went around the second point towards Cypress Point as the seas were calm.  Had a few good take downs but one popped off, and the other got under a rock on the third dive to the bottom.   That really hurts!

Found a school of nice blues to fill the stringer.  C and R two just legal cabbies.  Ran into Dolphin on the way in.  I decided to try the area tossing a small light scampi.  Similar to black bass fishing, releasing fish much larger than those on my stringer.  Catching olives 5 feet from the boat 2 feet deep, made me feel like I was on an episode of Bill Dance.

on shore I saw too others yakkers with a nice ling and a spearo with a just shy of 20 pound ling.

So ends the 07 rockfish season for me.  Look out perch, here I come

Beautiful cabby e2g!
Thanks for the report too. Glad you made it out for a final RF trip.
I heard sackyak got a ling limit.
