carmel in a south swell?

thinking of rockies in carmel.  forcast is

SAT
SE WINDS 5 KT...BECOMING SW 5 TO 10 KT IN THE AFTERNOON.
WIND WAVES LESS THAN 2 FT. MIXED SWELL NW 2 TO 5 FT AT 11 SECONDS
AND SW 1 TO 2 FT AT 13 SECONDS. SLIGHT CHANCE OF RAIN.

not sure how south swell affects that area.  Any thoughts?

The bad news is that a South swell tends to turn off the rockfish bite.
The Good news is that Carmel is a bay, so you can find protection from the swell, regardless of direction. If its coming in from the South, launch from Monastery beach because you're protected by Pt Lobos. If its coming from the North, launch from Stillwater or CRSB.

I am thinking about going out on Sat too. Still haven't informed the wifee yet...so my plans are not cemented quite yet. But I'd like to join you, Eugene. So I will send a PM once I get the OK to fish.
