Just picked up in the last month the Olympus Stylus tough 8000- rated shockproof from a 6' fall and waterproof to 33 feet.  14+ megapixs - about $350ty - use it for work, so I could write it off, but mostly for play on the water - like it.

I also just got an Olympus stylus tough this year. It's my first time using a digi cam on the water so I don't have anything to compare it to, but so far I like it.
Excellent picture quality and a much bigger screen than my land based Nikon digi.
A lot of folks also like the Pentax Optio.

Optio W80, 150$ or less, and you will LOVE it!  I have a Stylus 1030SW, a tough camera, but I dont like its pictures nearly as much, and cost me twice the W80!  Just dont drop it  :smt005

I don't really like my Olympus Stylus 1050. It takes crappy pics and the video is even crappier. Consider the Pentax Optio line. My buddy got the new-ish Panasonic and the pics & video are definitely better than my Olympus.

DON't get the Fuji FinePix XP10.  I got it on sale at Costco for $40 off.  I tried it on land and OTW, takes fuzzy and glarry pictures.  All the reviews on it are bad.

I am returning mine, I used it at the ARW event last weekend and was pretty disappointed.  Looks like I'm getting a Pentax Optio instead.
