That Yakima Long Arm extender looks like a great product.
You might be able to save a few bucks during one of REI annual sales.

I missed this annual year sale last May!

Maybe a 4th of July or Labor Day sale??  :smt102
Might not be worth the wait for a discount.

I am searching for a truck bed extender to transport kayak with my Maverick.   Looking at a T-bone curved truck bed extender but not sure if it's worth it with that price tag.  Anyone here own this one here?  Love to hear your opinions.

I just loaded up a few minutes ago.

I have one. I love it.  1st, it’s aluminum so no rust ever.  And it’s light.  I’ve used it in both my trucks. Pictured is the 6-foot bed. My new truck has the 5 footer.  No issues.  I like how’s it’s curved so I never grind i into anything.  I have to adjust the height between my two trucks.  It’s easy to do.   It’s saved my back.  How?  I can lift my kayak and hold the weight close in front of me.  No arm extensions needed. No back twisting.  I then simply step between the arm and my tailgate and set it down.   And I can open a beer bottle myriads of ways.  I don’t need it on my bed extension.

Looks nice.  Do you remove it after unload the kayak at launch site, or just leave it hook up?
