Yea the filament I used it designed for hard/outdoor use.
I'm curious which material are you referring to. Thx!

I use ASA for all my fishing and outdoor stuff. Black will fade like most plastics do after awhile but my buddy says to soak them in Jet black rit dye it will be like new. I’ve dyed a lot of plastic chainsaw parts in rit dye and they hold the color great also.

We struggled to find “Fish” themed trophies for the Perch Derby but Bushy found a source!

I want to get into designing my own pieces to 3D print.  What 3D CAD apps do you use?  I am looking to learn on a free app.

Autodesk Fusion.  They have a personal use license and it's free.  For hobbyist, it's good enough.  Take a fusion course in Udemy for $15 or so and start designing away.

+1 for Fusion. It's a full featured CAD program that many major companies use, and there are a ton of Youtube vids and forum support. Onshape is simpler, so the learning curve is probably flatter, but I don't know how good the advanced features are (like adding draft, which you'll want when you start designing your own molds for swimbaits :smt001 )

I use Solidworks for 99% of the CAD I do, but I have a license for my business, and have been using it for 20+ years. If I had to start fresh now, I'd go w/ Fusion.
