Stillwater Carmel 10/07

I went to Stillwater.  I launched about 7 and first went south then went north.  South produced a few grassy RF and one or two other unknown bites.  North got better and I ended up with probably 20 fish or more, mostly blues, a few gophers, olives, a china two underlings.  Fishing was best in the kelp.  Bait, irons and swimbaits caught fish.  I forgot my camera so no photos.  Wind came up and I went home.

I almost paddled north to Stillwater, knowing the wind would eventually pick up and bring me back to Monastery. But then the wind came up big time and squashed that idea. Guess I should've called out on my VHF to see if anybody else was in the area. Jeff and I were communicating back and forth on ch 69. Didn't hear much chatter otherwise.

We gotta hit stillwater again before the season ends. Hopefully the WX will allow us!

Going through saltwater withdrawl. Luckily the Islander is only a month away. May have to head south for 1 last trip if my WAF can withstand it. PM me if you think its worth the drive.
