Anyone planning to fish the Monterey area tomorrow? I haven't launched from the beach behind MBK in a very long time, but looks like the wind is finally letting up enough for a morning session.

Wind and swell have diminished greatly over the last 24 hours
Should be a flat morning
Great Luck

Late report (where did the weekend go? What, it's Tuesday??). My wife and I launched the tandem from MBK around 730 and threw swimbaits near Tioga (hey JohnnyAb). It never fails, finally took a day off work for seemingly good conditions, but the fan was cranking first thing in the morning. We only picked up one copper (released) after an hour or so on the shale, so moved deeper to ~80-90 FSW. Eventually we ended up at the small reef near the red can and picked up a few small rf and shaker lings that all went back. The wind never let up and so we eventually let it blow us back to the beach. It was a very slow day.

Similar results for me on the 25th. Except I only fished for 3 hours btwn MBK and the condos. Because I forgot my drysuit(s) and my PFD. Kayaking barefoot in board shorts with a hoodie on. It was cold. Came back in at 10am. Got a handful of blues and a couple verms, fishing around 40ft depth.
