There are lots of guys that wouldn't mind using their own existing drive inside a new kayak ;)

Me, me, me... I like to paddle, but also like the option to peddle.  Jim, will a mirage drive fit inside the front hatch?

The Native will have to come later.   That will require the seat be move-able.  ( slide  fore - aft )
For start, we'll have the Mirage adapter.   The adapter stays on the Mirage unit.  It's taken off  or on with a single cam lever.   This way the adapter serves as a sort of "life ring" in case it gets dropped overboard, it won't sink.

I'm not certain yet if it will fit into the front hatch with the adapter ring attached.   I'm 80% optimistic it will.        Should find out in....  6 more weeks. :smt003

The mold for the hull was cast last week !     Huge accomplishment to get to that stage.

A few more days and  I'll have the Mirage adapter mold completed.

+1

Love seeing the enthusiasm from y'all .    Bank it for me, until I need it.  Maybe another 4 weeks I could use it.
Today I finished shaping  the " part" that I'll use to build the female mold for the adapter.  Sanded to 600 grit, tomorrow I wax and start making the flange, etc..
      Here's a peek.
