paddling gloves

I have a pair of NRS paddling gloves that are great for cool foggy mornings. However I was out in some freezeing temps lately and my hands were numb. I have been looking at a couple options but nothing has really impressed me for cold weather. Any suggestions. I would prefer a glove that will seal up to my paddling jacket, be warm, and waterproof.

Which model of NRS glove? I ask, as I use their 3 mm Reactor glove in water that's pretty darn cold. As an example, this past week I've been diving in our local lake while wearing them, and the surface water temp is ~40 degrees. My hands will feel chilled after about an hour or so, but nowhere near numb. And this is 100% immersion, with very little activity.

O' Neil just came out with a surf glove that's PERFECT (IMO)for kayak fishing. I'll send more info and pics tomorrow. We just got a shipment of new surf stuff at Aquan and I came across the glove...I wore it and picked-up a paddle and it was da shnizzel (the grip on it was unreal) The price was around under $50.00. We are already nearly sold out coz the surfers love 'em -  so I'll be getting one before we run out.

These wouldn't happen to be 'em would they?

I have been using gortex / thinsulate hunting gloves.
Very warm but not for submersion in colod water.

I use the NRS reactor glove like Thornley.  It's the warmest thing I've been able to come across yet. 

Psycho gloves have an internal wrist gasket. Now that's what I'm talkin' about.
can't wait to check them out in person.

I have a cheap pair of divers' gloves that are neo/fleece linned that work, but when gettin a fish on the troll, i couldn't "FEEL" the fun and whipped them off to continue the battle(of the lil'trout)...they kept me warm up in Sucker's Slough for two months also.

Yep. It's pretty much neoprene (cloth & rubber) w/ some PVC printed onto it. I think it'd be tough to penetrate those parts but wouldn't bet on it.

I have to find somewhere in Sac that has them. I would hate to order a pair and find they were not the right size.

I actually don't own these. The photos posted w/ the open box are Mooch's. I've seen these in the a store and the gasket is simply some pvc ink screened on the inside of the sleeve portion. And for the Psycho conditions you've been up to I might recommend the 3 mm.

Mike, here are a couple of pictures. If the view of the gasket is not clear enough, I'll shoot some outdoor shots tomorrow. The gloves are indeed waterproof. My gloves are size XL and they fit very SNUG. My hands feel warm when wearing them dry. However, if the gloves are subjected to a constant cold contact, my hands do begin to feel cool. If I were to be in an evironment where I'm constantly getting my hands wet, I would opt for the 3mm version, but I don't know how it would feel to wear gloves of that thickness.
