NorCal Kayak Wars Team 2012

Do we have one of these? Anyone interested? Seems AOTY catches could count for KW too...any thoughts? I'm interested,seems like we should represent.

Yea I feel ya Sonny, I dont kno what happen with that. It sounds really fun and interesting, but being in AOTY, an active member on this site, a homeowner, constantly working on projects, etc. I dont think I had the time or energy to put into it at the end. For me, theres just too much going on to allow any attention to KW. But I do agree, NCKA should come up with a team and represent.

Its kinda like AOTY but you dont have to catch all the species and it includes all the US. Saltwater and freshwater are seperate. teams must be 3-5 members. Its Hobie sponsored among others. Team with most points wins each category.

But I do agree, NCKA should come up with a team and represent.

Never heard of it, but sounds cool. Their site is kinda strange...lots of outdated info and typos! And I can't find the dang rules listed anywhere; just exhaustive lists of species by region. Does it cost $ to enter?

Yeah, couldn't you just upload to KW first and then resize and upload here?  Or is it not that simplistic?

You can upload the same original picture/image to both AOTY and KW websites as long as you don't resize it before upload.

Been Planning on looking into getting a group together as well.

Keep me in the loop saw that you guys tried last year but not much competition.
