The Saints are marching in and gonna light up the Candlestick!!!!

We have won the last six regular and post season games against you all...last time you beat us was back in 2002...

We all know what the Saints offense and Drew have done this year...seems like they have broken more offensive records this year than you can shake a stick at!

You all got a great defense fo sho, and homefield advantage....but I still think we're gonna have another Black and Gold Superbowl this year!!!

I was in the Superdome with my brother when the Saints won their first playoff game ever in 2000 against the Rams...I was there with Ana when we beat the Vikings in 2009 to go to the Superbowl for the very first time..If I had an extra $500 laying around I would pick up a pair of tix to be there in SF when we win next Saturday.



Drew has too many weapons: Marques Colston, Jimmy Graham, Darren Sproles, Robert Meachem, Lance Moore, Pierre Thomas, Chris Ivory, Devery Henderson....you can't stop them all!



 

I already got a bet for a sixpack with Craig...payable up at Shelter...and Dr. Hab owes me a sixpack after we routed the Lions last night....you wanna bet too John? That should cover my beer for the weekend!

I tip my hat to the Saints - Brees is a great quarterback and they have alot of weapons.  That said, they're a glorified Arena-league team racking up big offense numbers by playing games in that indoor playpen called the SuperBabyDome. Football is meant to be played outside! We'll see if the Saints can play their game outside in the playoffs. 

Here's how I see it going down. Three factors to a Niner win - defense, ball control offense, field conditions. The Saints will score some points but the Niner defense will give them a game and make them earn it. Niners play ball control offense with their run game using Gore and Hunter, and control time of possession, minimizing time the Saints offense has the ball and wearing down the Saints defense.  Final factor - return to an old Candlestick favorite from the glory days!  The sprinklers are probably already running.......the field will be a bog........always a problem with high tide at Candlestick during the playoffs   

Saints fans will be running back to the bayou with those old brown paper bags over the heads just like the old days!

There will be no crying if we don't win...some cursing and drinking fo sho, but no crying.

I don't think Niners fans or any other team's fans can really appreciate how proud Saints fans are of our team, win or lose...

After so many years of being the laughing stock of the league and after the role they played in the spiritual, emotional and physical rebuilding of the city after Katrina...

In the years after Katrina, the highlight of the week for my family and many, many others was watching the Saints game and being able to forget about still not being able to live in your your own home, sleeping in a trailer, fighting for FEMA money and hearing some sh*theads on TV debate about whether or not the City was WORTH rebuilding!

 

My Mom and Dad called me up in tears after the first game in the SuperDome after the storm...tears of joy that the Saints and the Dome were back! And the win over Atlanta didn't hurt either!!!!

 



Sure I hope they win on Saturday, but my WhoDat Nation flag will still be flying outside my front door even if they get shutout and go 3-13 next year instead of this year's 13-3.

Actually....I'd rather see the niners win than hear an entire off-season of Tebow Time.  I have nothing against the guy personally but the press is making me hate him....well....I already hate the donks but all this ridiculous tebow talk is driving it through the roof.
