Mooch hits the spot with Demo, Demo, Demo. It doesn't matter what anybody tells you whats the best. Its really whats the best for you. Stable for somebody else may not be stable for you. Get out there and try different boats. I would hate to see you buy one of of what somebody claims is the best and then not be happy.

Don't get a Malibu X-Factor unless you like to exert more effort and forget how it feels to capsize.   :smt003

In other words, and seriously, the X-Factor is likely the most stable fishing yak, but it does work the body more than the other choices.

So true after paddling the OK  Ultra 4.7 , it is a speed demon!. Can't wait to get it in the ocean but will probably still use my X-factor for times when rough and crabbing or diving. That things does take a little more effort but well worth it when safety is concerned.

I bought my boat used when I lived in Texas.  It is no speed machine by any stretch, but for every design there is a trade off.  Speed often sacrifices stability, do you want straight line tracking or manuverability?  There is no one perfect one size fits all.  I have demo'd a ton of boats before I bought one.  While may work great for me, it may suck for you.  Demo several boats, make notes and compare.  Of course Murphy's law kicks in right after you buy your boat that in that anohter model will come out the day after you buy yours.

Congrats on the new boat!   That's a solid choice for all-around fishing.  Let the fun begin!

Congratulations on your T13.  I have never paddled one but love my T11.

I have to say that my choice was based on a lot of research and talking to guys like this group on NCKA.
That being said my final decision (like Dale L said)  came down to three things:
Price:   I had 3K to buy and outfit two kayaks (wife). Only one for fishing.
Weight: I have a 125 lb weight limit on the roof of my toyota corolla (including the rack). With gas I am not buying another truck.
Storage: One bedroom apartment with a small patio that means the wife (5'2") and myself have to lift em over a six foot fence.

Wife was easy. After talking to dealer about what she wanted and why. She decided on a Tarpon100. Of course it had to be the right color.

Left me with a lot less choice (See weight and storage).   So was made a great deal on last years  Prowler with a Trident rod pod upgrade.  I am not saying it was a great way to choose a boat but, it has worked great so far and I am OTW.
