All the lakes in the south bay prepare for the upcoming rainy season by draining their lakes partially.  I either drive by Lexington or Stevens Creek Res. every day, and they have been droping the levels on both for over a month.

The boat launch closed in the middle of October.  It won't open again until April I think.

Does this mean that we can still launch a yak or pontoon boat somewhere besides the boat ramp?  I aminterested in this lake as well.

To save money, they only staff the inspections for certain lakes certain months of the year.  But others are probably open like Calero.

Calero and Anderson are the only Santa Clara lakes open now....check their web site. Anderson open in the beginning of the week and Calero end of the week.

From parkhere.org (SCC Rec's website)
~~~~
Beginning October 15 through April 14 (8am to 1/2 hour before sunset):
Coyote Lake, Stevens Creek and Lexington Reservoirs will close to boating.
Anderson will remain open 5 days a week  - closed on Wednesday and Thursdays (except open on Holidays falling on a closed day)
Calero will remain open 5 days a week - closed on Monday and Tuesday (except open on Holidays falling on a closed day).
~~~~

SOB.  I see people in the LGRC crewing away couple times a week in the AM.  I thought they got rid of this BS preferential treatment.  Let's call a lawyer ...

Occupy Lexington!

Just exchanged some emails w the attorney who's work prompted Lex to open earlier this summer.  Paraphrase his reply:  id like to see someone try and kick me off lol

Not that I like inciting anarchy, but who is ready to paddle in protest?  If we do it during LGRC practice, WTH can they say?

Or strictly construing the closure notice, the lake shd be OPEN from 1/2 hour before sunset to 8am!!

If it fits my schedule, I'd do it but trying to get anything in without more than a months notice with 2 girls younger than 5 is almost impossible.

Dopes, did they not proofread their own notice?
