Mooch, sorry buddy, but agave syrup is actually worse for you than sugar.  It's 90% refined fructose, which is higher than high fructose corn syrup.

It's a slick commercial bullshit campaign.  And it's dangerous for folks with blood sugar problems.  Check out this article:

great info.... i think the rule is, anything that ends in "ose" such as fructose, isnt the greatest for the body, maybe, not so much an issue for people who are not concerned with sugars and such, but good for anyones health to avoid in general.

    Having worked as a refinery operator making HFCS  for three years...     I now look at the ingredients  to be sure there's no fructose in my food.

    Stick with honey.   That's about as organic as a sweetener can get.
