MBK Paddle for Aaron! Please read end of page 3
« on: August 08, 2011, 07:20:02 am »
The A-Hulls are teaming up with the Big Sur commandos on doing A memorial paddle threw the slough. Paddle will start at MBK in Moss Landing ( TTBD ) and continue to Kirby park, A ride the tide paddle in memory of Aaron. We will be asking for small donations which we could pay foreward to Aarons widow. There will be A pot luck style BBq afterwards.....This is A paddle Aaron has done time and time again... Unfortunately the fishing grounds in the slough are very limited.. More to follow on this special event...Stand by.. Any other ideas are welcomed here! :smt006

Depending on tide and time we might be able to fish outside before hand.  I am up for whatever transpires.  The spirit of our brother lives on.

I'm in. Always wanted to do this, always figured I'd tag along with Aaron one day.

It's time to seize the carp.

2011-08-27  03:58 PDT  -0.28 feet  Low Tide
2011-08-27  10:30 PDT   4.17 feet  High Tide
2011-08-27  15:33 PDT   1.75 feet  Low Tide
2011-08-27  21:45 PDT   5.74 feet  High Tide

The tides are favorable if we want to paddle from MBK into the slough and back.
Launch at 8-9am and ride the incoming tide into the slough, then return to MBK as the tide drains out to sea.
Leopard sharks, batrays, perch, smelt, and maybe halibut would be the target fish.

Let's get a head count going!  :smt006

How's the shark fishing in there? I'm thinking of renting a tandem and taking my 11 year old nephew with me.
