McCovey Cove was NUTS!
« on: October 19, 2010, 09:52:36 pm »
Made it there just in time for the fly over and first pitch. Everything today was outstanding, from the weather and vibe, to the final outcome.
Launched at Mission Bay Park. Bring you wheels! Heard of anothr free ramp south of the park.
Be careful where you park. We got a ticket that is worth fighting.

O man, can't wait to make it down there for the series.  I'm sure it will be a blast.  Coming from STL kayaking outside the game is a bit rough on the might mississippi, but that looks awesome.

Poles? You mean foul poles?
There were a lot of boats in the cove. We only brought our beer, sandwiches, spits, and youthful enthusiasm.
Big Brother was present.

Kayakjack and Fishflogger:
Yeah, you can drink, smoke, and carry on... just hide the evidence when Big Bro comes tooling by. It's a privacy issue. If they can see it, it's not private, and they can/will act upon it. There were plenty of other yakers carrying on, so we had safety in numbers. Even then, the only guys I saw hassled were a powerboat tied up to a bouy. That was outright hassling. That doesn't include the many times he slowly buzzed by just to make us paranoid.
I have no idea as to how to get a Weber to float.
